In the next four weeks, 18% of small and medium-sized businesses will be unable to survive, according to research carried out by the Corporate Finance Network. The research reveals that around 13,000 small and medium-sized businesses will fail despite the support measures put in place by the Government. However, if the lockdown lasts longer than three months 31% of small businesses will cease trading. The Chancellor is expected to announce improvements to the Government's support measures shortly.
